Studies a large-scale natural gas combined cooling heating and power (CCHP) system with users increase in several years. Divides the process of load increasing into four stages, and analyses the energy saving performance and economic performance at different operation strategies. According to the result, by utilizing the electricity generated by internal combustion engines (ICE) to drive centrifugal chillers and the lithium bromide units for cooling in summer, the operation cost can be reduced by 20.67% and 22.65% under the design-day and transition-day conditions, respectively, while the primary energy consumption can be reduced by 21.98% and 37.04%, respectively.
